Trafficalu manufactures aluminum traffic sign substrates, long-length extruded profiles and specialized mounting components. Existing experience with modular sign panels and dedicated clamps for a Norway road-sign program provides relevant manufacturing evidence; WVDOH geometry and attachment rules remain a separate, project-specific qualification scope.
Extrusion development: profile review, die development, trial extrusion, dimensional inspection and long-length packaging.
Sign fabrication: cutting, drilling/punching, cleaning, surface preparation, reflective sheeting application and labeling.
Hardware integration: custom aluminum clamps, bolts, washers, lock nuts, shims, ribs and kitted attachment sets.
Quality evidence: material certificates, first-article inspection, hole-pattern checks, profile/gauge reports, trial assembly, photo records and packing lists.
A controlled flat-sheet platform for regulatory, warning, route and auxiliary signs, supplied as blanks or finished sign assemblies.
Substrate cut to the contract thickness, alloy/temper and tolerances; corners generally 1.5 in radius unless the fabrication manual specifies otherwise.
3/8 in drilled or punched mounting holes; dimensions between holes held within 1/32 in; TP1 standard or non-standard pattern selected from the sign geometry.
Attachment variants: direct front-flange fastening with a shim; extruded rib with post clips; square-tube clamp; steel-beam or specified pipe-post arrangement.
Back-to-back option using supplemental U-channel/support details where required; upper support located within 2 in of the top edge and not projecting above it.
TP6 fabrication and installation-identification decal set supplied with the sign.
A horizontal stack of interlocking aluminum panel modules with factory-controlled seam, hole and attachment geometry.
12 in Type A panel as the primary module; 6 in Type B panel used where specified and always placed at the top with its post-clip channel upward.
Adjacent sign faces must remain in one plane; slotted stitch holes at 12 in spacing; first end hole typically 6 in from the end for whole-foot lengths and 3 in for half-foot lengths, subject to TE7-1 exceptions.
Top and bottom panels double-clipped at every post. For signs up to 24 ft, intermediate seam clips alternate sides; signs over 24 ft use clips on both sides of every seam.
Factory module map, sequential panel identification and kitted stitch bolts/post clips support correct field assembly.
No rounded panel corners. Support arrangement and Z-bar/beam attachment must follow the approved project drawing.
Hardware is supplied as drawing-specific kits rather than loose mixed components. Each kit can be bagged, labeled and matched to a sign number, support position and assembly drawing.
RV30072 specialized clamp produced for a Norway modular sign application.
Long modular sign-panel profiles with integral attachment channels.
Contract review: freeze drawing revision, sign schedule, support layout, material, sheeting, hardware finish and acceptance criteria.
First article: inspect profile cross-section, critical wall thickness, flatness/straightness, hole size/location and fit with mating hardware.
In-process control: controlled cut list, fixture/CNC revision, hole-pattern sampling, deburring, cleaning and sheeting-process records.
Assembly assurance: panel seam trial fit, coplanarity check, clip engagement and kit-count verification.
Traceability: heat/batch and production-lot linkage, inspection status, sign/module labels, photo record and export packing list.
Sign schedule: sign numbers, finished dimensions, copy/layout files and quantities.
Substrate and finish: alloy/temper, thickness/profile, coating or mill finish, and surface preparation.
Support interface: support type/section, spacing, orientation, back-to-back requirement and any Z-bar/beam detail.
Performance basis: design loads, project location, service environment and corrosion/fastener requirements.
Reflective system: sheeting manufacturer/grade/color, overlay film, screen/digital process and warranty requirements.
Compliance: approved-products process, domestic-content clauses, inspection/hold points, required tests and delivery terms.
